To meet one of the few people to have walked from Georgia on the Appalachian Trail is a treat. Their fresh and eager approach to strangers is typical of these rugged travelers, perhaps because survival on such a journey must surely rely on smiles not miles. These three hikers were picking blueberries at the edge of Sunfish Pond.
