A new hiking trip with a new friend ... I agreed to return to the Appalachian Trail with Neil in tow, although I must admit that I had doubt as to whether this kid who doesn't even know how to swim could handle it. How would he hold up under 30 lbs. of pack weight? Would he be packed and prepared?
