The glossy cover of the river has a rich and dark color outside the sun, collected run-off water from the countless tributaries feeding it. July's heat gave us little pause in shedding shirts and jumping in. The sandy bottomed river was perfect for wading or sitting at the edge, later we let the currents pull us downstream in the middle.
