The living room ceiling at this Fifth Avenue apartment was painted in a technique resembling the sky at dusk, using a gradation of soft tones, predominantly blue, off-white and yellow-white, with hints of pink.

The Old Master style is inspired by two landscape paintings on the walls.

The final effect is a beautiful yet subtle impression of sky, hinting at an illusion of uplifting the ceiling.
